In collaboration with volunteers from the Vancouver Public Space Network, Eclective set an urban explorer’s challenge to research Vancouver’s Civic Buildings and map them on a ‘Publicness scale’.

The intent was to create a civic building inventory for downtown Vancouver, deepen the understanding of what a civic building is (or should be), evaluate the ‘publicness’ of existing buildings and explore ideas for future spaces.

11 volunteers participated in this study and the work is ongoing as part of the VPSN Civic Buildings Portfolio.
